Al-Hamra School Students Win Gold, Silver, and Bronze at Provincial Level and Qualify for National Level in the 53rd Sir John Tarbat Athletic Championship - 2024

Under the patronage of Ritzbury and organized by the Sri Lanka Schools Athletic Association, the preliminary rounds of the 53rd Sir John Tarbat Junior Athletic Championship, which takes place nationwide, were held yesterday (03.08.2024) at the Webber Ground in Batticaloa, focusing on the Eastern Province and Polonnaruwa District.
In this competition, our school’s students won 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals, qualifying for the national-level competition.
NOTE: In the men's events, based on the total points, our school students secured the 2nd position at the provincial level, bringing pride to our school.
We extend our gratitude to the Principal, Vice-Principal, and the teachers who trained the students: Mr. R. Nowsath, Mr. AMM Kiyas, and Coach A. Asmath, as well as to everyone in the school community. Congratulations to the successful students!
